LAST OF MY KIND

Ye!
the commander included me to a trip down to earth
For a young recruit like me! I was so excited
I leaped and ran home to my father... who was so angry at the dispersion of the news.

I didn't know what triggered his anger
But for me, it was a dream come true!
I have read a lot of books brought back from the previous invasion
And how unique the human was....

Lo!
They have No Gigantic head, lanky body and a very long tail.
Joy filled my heart when I read about the romance of humans
It makes me feel,,, so human
Even though I don't know what being human is all about.

Crap!
My father protested but I ignored
This was my adventure... and nothing can stop that!
My father told me how dangerous the humans was...
How they could destroy your physical and emotional state

Damn!
I didn't listen... I thought it was just a story to hold me back
So I went....
So true, Earth was as beautiful as they had described it... Even more!
Our landing site was so colourful with crown

Swoosh!
We landed unnoticed in a thick forest, we thought it was a peaceful arrival
And to them... they had seen us on radar even hours before we landed
Swiftly they had dispatched

Voom!
I wore my helmet which was attached to my air bag
Even before we left our planet, we had been warned against the toxicity of the human air
So I was damn prepared for the worst.

Svesssssgh!
The spacecraft door dropped like an atomic bomb;
Accompanied by a lot of gas which were trying so hard to fight their way through my helmet.
Like a Novice, I closed my eye
And hope for a successful invasion

Swiftly!
I ran out of the spacecraft after I gain a little composure.
I was so anxious to see what makes the human planet so special,
So eager to see what a human looks like
So... gone was I

Lost!
I was so lost in my adventure
And my utmost dream became a reality
Walking around the earth was my first;
And meeting a human was the next...
Just like that, I deviate from my course

Trouble!
The spacecraft was surrounded by NASA in a blink
It was like they had been expecting our next return
So the humans had tag us UFO,and a decree to shoot at sight has been approved

Ecstasy!
I was still swimming in my desires
I followed a foot path that led out of the forest and head straight into the city.
I stood miles away and saw my second wish come true.
But that became the last time I smiled

Code Red!
My transmitter sent me a signal of a possible attack on the spacecraft.
Instantly, I ran at my utmost speed
With the fear of unknown running deep my system
I knew something was wrong... very wrong
But what it was... was my greatest fear

Gape!
I Opened my mouth wide on getting to the landing site
Bodies of my brothers flung everywhere on the field
We have been attacked!!! and my brothers had been killed
I raised my head; but the spacecraft was gone


Ducked!
I became a rat fighting for its life among the cats
There was Nowhere else to go
My carrier was gone,
And I have been left behind

Evolution!
Three century passed and I remain the young boy I was
...but with a slight change
I had Evolved!
It took my body two century to complete its cycle and be a replicate of a human
So comes the hope

Hope!
With a human physical appearance, I began to live like a human
I change names every decade... for I didn't age
My life has been a mess,....
So with my transmitter beeping, I knew a spacecraft was on its way
I have waited patiently for this day and a return to my world was my objective
